Shawn Jolley is the firm’s paralegal and anchor on litigation cases and transactional projects. Shawn brings 20 years of highly diversified legal experience to the Gravely Pearson team and helps take the team approach the firm utilizes to the next level. Shawn’s 20 years of assisting attorneys in various capacities and in a variety of practice types has allowed her to hone her talents into fine-tuned skills that help the Gravely Pearson team achieve their mission of resolving complex cases, including preparing for lengthy trials. Shawn’s background in complex legal issues such as capital punishment defense cases, contested foreclosures, estate planning and a variety of property disputes helps Shawn fit nicely into the firm’s emphasis on complex, out-of-the-box problem solving.

Shawn loves the classroom, as evidenced by earning an Associates in Paralegal studies, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and 1,000 hours of masters level course work and practical training in counseling psychology. This education has been essential in the planning, recruiting, and conducting of legal focus groups and jury testing. Shawn’s critical thinking abilities, writing abilities, and her wide ranging legal experience make her an essential member of our team. Currently, Shawn is looking forward to becoming a trial technology expert using Trial Director 6. To date, Shawn has attended three 1-hour long webinars and two full days of basic training. She intends to become certified in Trial Director within the next year.

As an experienced paralegal, Shawn prides herself on her ability to fuse empathy with her skill set. In short, Shawn takes tremendous care of firm clients and provides the necessary touch to keep clients on track as they navigate through extended conflict.

Shawn hails from Las Vegas, Nevada, and moved to Colorado in 2011 to attend the University of Colorado, Denver, and decided to make Colorado her home. When Shawn is not at the office, she can be found hiking, camping, Middle Eastern folk dancing, and advocating for human rights and equality in any way she can.
